Year 6 Parents/Carers – Apply for Free Transport to Corbet

Any parents/carers of year 6 pupils, who wish to apply for free school transport for their child/children from September 2020, should do so before 31st May 2020. Applications can be made online at www.shropshire.gov.uk or over the phone with the Council’s Customer Service Team by calling 0345 6789008. Alternatively, should you require a paper copy of the application form, please do not hesitate to contact the school or Passenger Transport directly via email, schooltransport@shropshire.gov.uk or over the phone on the above telephone number.

It is important to explain that, if the application is not received by 31st May 2020, the Authority may be unable to provide transport for the beginning of the autumn term 2020 and parents/carers will need to make their own transport arrangements. Access to school transport is not permitted until entitlement has been confirmed.

Feedback from Goodison Park – Jaguar Trip

Dear Parent/Carers

We have received the feedback below from Goodison Park following the Jaguar Class visit. We are very proud of our pupils!!!

Good afternoon Mr Hughes
I just wanted to drop you an email to thank you and all the students for coming along to Goodison Park.
Everyone was great fun, the students where so well-behaved and well-mannered as well as engaging and enthusiastic, despite supporting all different Clubs away from Everton.
They are all a credit to your school.
We hope you all enjoyed your time at Goodison Park as much as we enjoyed having you all here.
Possibly hope we may have some more lovers for Everton too!
Enjoy the rest of your day in Liverpool.
We hope to see you all again soon.
Have a safe trip back.
Best wishes,
Elle

KS2 Evening Performance – Thursday 12th December

Please can children be back in school no earlier than 5:15 for the evening performance.

Children will be sent home with their costumes so they can wear them back to school in the evening to minimise the need to change before and after the performance.

The performance will last around an hour so children whose parents are not attending the evening performance will need to be collected by 6:45pm.

Children who are booked in for Maths club after school on Thursday are welcome to stay in school and a member of staff will supervise them. It may be advisable to sent them with a snack.

Jaguar Trip – Arrival time

Jaguar Parents – They are on their way home after a jam packed day! They are due to arrive back at approximately 17:45pm ?

Jaguar Trip – Update

Year 6 Secondary School Transfers – DEADLINE 31st October

Dear Parent/Carers

We have been asked to remind Year 6 parents that the ALL primary to secondary applications need to be completed by 31st October 2019.

Please note below the information received regarding late applications and the application deadline.

Please be aware that all primary to secondary transfer applications received after 31 October 2019 will be treated as late and will only be considered after all on-time applications have been processed (at which point the preferred school may be full).  There will be no period of grace for paper applications to be submitted.  The only exception to this is for parents who can evidence that they have moved house between 31 October 2019 and 3 February 2020. Please also note that the national closing date falls in the half-term holiday when schools will be closed and if parents leave it until the last moment, there may be no one available to assist them with their application.

Polite Reminder

Please can the reply slips and payments for the upcoming Flaxmill & Liverpool trips be sent to school ASAP.

Many Thanks

Mrs Smith
