Y5&6 Indoor Athletics Event

Today, a squad of children travelled to Corbet School to take part in an Indoor Athletics tournament against three other local schools. Overall, the girls’ team finished in 2nd place behind Baschurch, whilst the boys’ team came 3rd, with Ruyton winning.

Individually, Sophie Carr (chest push), Siena Wray (vertical jump) and Alfie Russell (javelin) won their individual field events with some great efforts.

Girls (Siena Wray, Ariana Maybury, Imogen Conde, Maisie Lincoln, Sophie Carr, Esme Hassan, Amelia Williams  and Sarah Emerton Maka)

Y5&6 Jaguar class PE – Hockey

Today, the children started their first hockey session in PE. They used socks and shin pads from school to protect their shins however, next week, they can bring in their own from home (if they have any) to use. If not, the children can continue to use what they wore today.
