Highlights From Home – Y5&6 – Tuesday 12th May 2020

Well done everybody on another fantastic day’s learning from home. Apologies that it’s a bit late but I went out for a long run this evening.

I hope that you enjoyed the maths Kahoot quiz that was created for both Y5 and Y6 today. My advice would be to always have a pencil / piece of paper handy just in case you need to do any quick workings out. I can change the amount of time given to answer each question, so I will always given you extra time on the questions that take more thought.

In English, congratulations to Theseus who was voted as the most heroic ancient Greek mythical warrior, beating Odysseus by 9 votes to 4. We had some excellent persuasive writing produced from it.

I hope that you enjoyed learning about the Battle of Marathon in History today and how the Athenians and Spartans were different in how they were ruled back in the Ancient Greek period.

Here’s today’s ‘Highlight’s From Home’.

Good morning. It’s your final day of learning for the week because of tomorrow’s Bank Holiday (VE Day). If anybody wishes to keep busy with their learning tomorrow, Y6s can always do some practical work based on ‘Time’ whilst Y5s could do some practical work on studying ‘Angles’ outdoors.

If you wanted to be more ‘arty’, here’s a link that I’m sure you will enjoy. It’s not what our learning is based on, but it would still produce a fantastic piece of art work.
