Today’s activity relates to a world famous American basketball player called ‘Michael Jordan’. Watch the video below to learn about his life and his achievements.

Although he became one of the most successful players of all time, it wasn’t an easy path to become the player he was. He needed to have a lot of motivation in order to overcome the set backs he faced.

Below are some story cards so you can learn his story. Read through the cards and then cut them out to see if you can put them back in the correct order.

Why not have ago at drawing Michael Jordan and then create a character profile for him. Once you’ve drawn the caricature (cartoon) version of Michael Jordan, list some facts and characteristics of him around your drawing. Watch the video below to learn how to draw a caricature of him.

Good Morning,

I really hope you had a lovely half term break and had plenty of time to relax.

I’m not sure yet how much longer we will have to continue our Home Learning, but we are hoping for an announcement from the Prime Minister later today. So we will now just have to wait and see.

This half term I will continue with the same routine of daily lessons which are a direct reflection on the learning in class each day.

We actually completed lessons 1 and 2 earlier in the term at the beginning of the lockdown. Once we are back school, I will be delivering a writing unit based on the BFG so this seems like an obvious focus to continue with between now and then.

After todays session, your complete persuasive letter can be put together by combining all your writing sides to form individual paragraphs of a persuasive letter. I have uploaded Mrs. C’s version so you can see what your final piece should look like.

Rather than set an afternoon activity, please use the time today to complete/write up your final version of your persuasive letter. It would be great to share some of these in the celebration powerpoint at the end of the week. Remember to use your best handwriting and really focus on your presentation.
