Rhino Jubilee Celebrations

Rhino Class have had a great day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

They all looked fantastic and enjoyed all of the activities that had been organised. They were very creative during the royal themed art with Mrs McGrath and thoroughly enjoyed the dance session that Mr Hughes had organised. They loved Mrs Crow’s party games and finished the afternoon by singing some royal themed songs with Mrs Kassel-Fell.

What a lovely afternoon.

Play Script Perfection

This week in class, we looked at the importance of stage directions in a play script. The children added their own stage directions (for both how to speak and how to act) and tried them out with their partners once they had finished. All children worked hard and were really able to bring the basic play script they were given to life.

Welcome to the brand new class page for Rhino Class

Rhino Homework

Last term we studied a Geography unit about Shrewsbury. For homework, I would like the children to produce a poster all about Shrewsbury showcasing all they learnt during the unit.

They should be able to produce information on:

  • Land use
  • Population
  • History
  • Buildings of interest
  • Famous people

The children are more than welcome to do further research if they wish.

It would be great to have this homework handed in before the end of the half term – Friday 27th May.

Many thanks

Mr Glover

KS2 Gymnastics Competition – Corbet School 14.2.22

Well done to Eve, Ruby, Mia (Y3), Sarah, Ben (Y4), Siena, Amelia (Y5) and Cass, Ariana and Maisie (Y6) who were chosen to represent the school in an event at Corbet School this morning. They had to perform two routines each (a floor and a vault routine) as part of the competition and then the overall scores were added together. Out of the three schools that attended, including Bomere Heath and Kinnerley, Myddle ‘A’ team finished in 1st place. Well done everybody!

Here are some photographs from today’s event….

IMPORTANT – RHINO class closure

Unfortunately Mr Glover has now tested positive for covid, so we cannot staff Rhino class on Monday. We are going to put in place the same closure period as the other classes: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the time being and try to get a supply teacher in place.
Mr Hughes is now the last man standing, so we want to do our best to keep the Jaguars safe and well. Please can Jaguar children carry out a lateral flow before returning to school on Monday and please can we ask that you do not send them in if they have symptoms or precautionary symptoms. The children who have tested positive have mostly had headache or tummy ache.

We are so sad and sorry to have to do this but the most important thing is to get everyone well again.

Take care everyone and thank you for your understanding.

Positive Cases – Tiger, Rhino & Jaguar Classes

FAO Parents/Carers of Tiger, Rhino & Jaguar Class

We have been made aware that we have a confirmed positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tiger, Rhino & Jaguar Classes at Myddle Primary School.

We have followed the national guidance and have identified that your child has been in close contact with the affected person.  In line with the national guidance, your child does not need to self-isolate but we strongly advise that they take a rapid lateral flow device (LFD) test every day for 7 days. If any of these LFD tests are positive they should immediately self-isolate.

If your child develops any of the main COVID-19 symptoms, or any of the precautionary symptoms associated with COVID-19, they must take a PCR test and remain off school until a negative result has been received.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.  Thank you.
