3 months ago Posted on 09th Feb 2026 by Mr G Hughes Girls football Well done to the 7 pupils in Y4,5 and 6 who represented the school in a girls football match against Prees after school today. After taking a 1-0 lead thanks to a well taken finish from Beau, the girls continued to fight bravely throughout the game but were unable to snatch a late equaliser and fell to a 2-1 defeat. A great effort all-round though and thank you to all of the parents who helped to transport the children to and from the game to allow this event to take place.

Needless to say, the observations weren’t too pleasant!

The two teams showed some great teamwork and spirit, finishing in 2nd and 9th places. Thank you to Mrs Harris for helping to transport and support the team at this event. Great effort everybody!

It was a great experience for them competing against pupils from other schools. Thank you to Mrs Emerton Maka for escorting the pupils to this event.
