More Sporting Success!

Congratulations to the 9 children in Y6 who took part in a rounders competition this morning at Corbet School. Having won all 5 of their group games, a defeat of Kinnerley and Bicton in the semi-finals and final meant a 1st place overall for our team. Great team work, some super striking, but some great fielding too, with Siena (bowler), Josh (back stop) and Connor (1st base) making a terrific trio continually throughout the tournament.

Well done to:

Imogen, Abi, Siena, Connor, Josh, Ethan, Amelia, Thomas and Jamie.

Y2 multi-sports event

Well done to the pupils in Y2 who were selected to take part in a multi-sports non-competitive event at Corbet School this morning. The children all had a great time taking part in the activities and demonstrated excellent behaviour both at the venue and whilst travelling to and from the event. Thank you to Mrs Emerton Maka for taking the pupils to this event.

Y3&4 Tag Rugby

Well done to the 8 boys from Y3&4 who represented the school in a tag rugby event this afternoon at Packwood School. They showed some excellent sprinting, dodging and positioning in their attacking and defensive play, winning 3 of their 4 games.

KS2 Gymnastics competition

Well done to the 12 pupils who represented the school this morning in a gymnastics competition at Corbet School. They all performed a floor routine and vault routine very well.

SKIP2BFIT DAY 2023

A huge well done to all of the children who took part in our Skip2BFit day today. The coach ‘John’ was fantastic and encouraged the children to be detemined to beat their PBs in their skipping. The children really enjoyed it and hopefully they shall be skipping regularly now in their breaktimes and lunchtimes to develop their fitness. It really is a tough workout!!🥵 If you would like to purchase a skipping rope with a counter for your child to use at breaktime, they are available to buy from the office. Blueberry bounce balls are also available to buy.

Well done to all of the children who made their book character wooden spoon or dressed in a world book day costume last Friday.
