Christmas Performance Tickets

Please can you ensure that your requests for tickets for your child’s performances are brought into school by the end of the school day on Monday, 2nd December.

Parking Complaints

We have had several complaints regarding parking in the layby area specifically at the far end by the phonebox.

Please can you ensure your vehicle is parked within the layby and not sticking out into the road. It is causing a real concern to drivers coming down the hill into the village.

If you have any questions/issues you would like to raise regarding this please do not hesitate to speak to Mrs Smith, School Office.

St Andrews Evening – 30th November 2019

If you fancy a fun night out, Scottish dancing, games, quiz and food, please speak to Lianne Farrow.

The event is taking place THIS Saturday, starting at 7:30pm in Myddle Village Hall.Tickets are £10 per adult, children are free!!

Special prize for the best dressed (Scottish Themed). Drinks available from the Bar!

All funds raised from this evening will be split between Myddle Village, Myddle Church and Myddle Primary School.

Partial Closure of layby/Bus Stop

As you may already be aware there is an issue with the drains outside of school and the bottom half of the layby is coned off to allow access to the drainage company. It is vital that the coned off area of the layby is kept clear to allow the HGV vehicle 24 hour access. Please be mindful of this at pick up and drop off.

We have not been advised how long it will be before this situation is resolved so your assistance would be gratefully appreciated

Parents Updates

  • Forest School
Children in Panda or Tiger Classes will not need to bring forest school clothing for the rest of this term. We are going to use this time to rehearse for the Christmas Performance.
  • Jewellery/Nail Varnish
We have noticed a decline in children’s presentation this term. We are proud to represent Myddle and do ask politely that children adhere to the uniform rules. Please can we ask that children do not wear jewellery to school and only plain stud earrings are worn.  This includes wrist bands and large headwear. Stud earrings should be small and discrete and absolutely no hoops.  Could we also ask that your child does not arrive in school wearing nail varnish.
  • Safer Schools
If parents or carers wish to come into school, it must be via the main reception area ONLY where they will need to sign in and be given a visitors badge to wear.
This includes at pick-up and drop-off times. It is really important that we know which adults are in school and that they are all signed in; this is for the safety of all our staff and children so we thank you for helping us with this.
We also need to be made aware if a difference person will be collecting you child OR your child is going to a friends house after school. We will only allow your child to leave school with someone else IF we have this information.  Children will be kept safely in the classroom or office area until we receive the necessary permission.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above information please do not hesitate to contact the school office on 01939 290834.

Rhino Class put the ‘Power’ into PowerPoint

This week the pupils in Rhino class have be learning how to use PowerPoint to record their learning. They have been learning how to use the programme to showcase what they have learnt about the Romans including details from their recent trip to Chester.

Today we learnt how to:

Open, save, create new slides, alter the theme, import pictures and change font types.
