Trip to Shrewsbury – link to our History topic

Since we are learning about Charles Darwin in History, we went on a trip to Shrewsbury Museum and to the Shrewsbury Library (where Darwin’s old boarding school used to be).

We had a workshop about Darwin, where we created a timeline and found and classified fossils, rocks and bugs. It was a fantastic day and we have all learned a lot!

‘Stepping Out’ Pedestrain training for Years 3, 4 and 5.

Stepping out training is starting tomorrow 24th January. This is for Years 3, 4 and 5.

Please can we have ALL reply slips back today or tomorrow morning at the latest please 

If we do not receive them in time, those children will not be allowed out on the walks.

Y2&3 Tiger class PE (Gymnastics)

Tiger class (Y2/3) have been improvng their gymnastics skills with coach Neil in PE today, developing their body posture using different balances, including pike and straddle.

Tiger class – Science

As part of their Science topic of ‘Animals including Humans’, today Tiger class have been working in groups to plan their own scientific enquiry question to investigate. One great hypothesis was ‘The longer the humerus bone, the further you can throw’. What’s your prediction? 🤾‍♂️🦾

Y2&3 Tiger class – Science

The children in Tiger class have been showing great scientific enquiry skills in their lesson with Mrs Foster this afternoon. As part of their topic ‘Animals including Humans’, they have been investigating whether or not the length of the femur (thigh bone) affects the distance that a person can jump.
