Headlice

It has come to our attention that we may have some unwelcome visitors in school. Please can we ask that long hair is placed in a ponytail. We would be grateful for your support in eradicating the lice. For more information, please follow the link: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/head-lice/Pages/introduction.aspx

Forest School Update – Tiger Class

Mrs Rohr and Mrs Davies will be taking Tiger class out for forest school every Tuesday starting 14th January 2020.

This session will take place in the afternoon so please send your child in their uniform on Tuesday morning with their full forest school kit in a separate bag. They will get changed after lunch and be returned to you at the end of the day in their forest school kit along with a bit of mud! 🙂

Please ensure your child has warm clothes, wellies, waterproof coat and trousers. Hat, scarf and gloves. Forest school will take place in all weathers.

Great news for Tiger class!

We have arranged for Tiger Class to have Forest School on Tuesday afternoons. So, from next week (Tuesday 14th January), children are to come to School in their uniform, as usual, but bring their Forest School clothes in a bag.

Apologies for the change of plans but we know how much the children enjoy those sessions. If you have any queries about this, please contact Mrs Crowe or Mrs Davies.

Tiger Homework – Week 1

All children read with an adult at School this week, and were given a book which match the colour band they are in. Please ensure you listen to your child read at home, at least 5 times a week.

All children were given spellings to practice in their Homework Books. We will not use Spelling shed for the next few weeks, as I would like the children to continue to write down their spellings.

All children also have a Maths worksheet in their Homework books. This is to consolidate some work we did in class.

Year 2 pupils were given a new times tables book and were asked to practice their 10x tables (up to 10 x 12).

All Homework books MUST be back at school by next Thursday (16th January), when our spellings and times tables tests will take place and new homework will be issued.

Please let me know if you have any queries,

Mrs Crowe
