Y5&6 Girls STEM day

4 girls in Y5&6 had a wonderful day at Shrewsbury High School. They made bath bombs in the chemistry lab, designed a logo, made packaging using a cube net, and presented a business case to a mock ‘Dragon’s Den’ (sixth formers) to sell their products in bulk.

They presented their company beautifully and came 3rd overall. They were a credit to the school all day. Thank you to Mrs Harris for attending this event with them.

World Book Day 2025 Y5&6

On World Book Day 2025, many of the Y5&6s took up the challenge of dressing as a book character / real life person from a book.

KS2 Cross-Country at Corbet School

A huge well done to the children who were selected to represent the school in a Cross-Country event at the Corbet School this morning. It was great to see (particularly the Y5&6s) the pupils showing great encouragement to each other, cheering everybody on and congratulating each other at the end of each race.🏃‍♀️🏃

Mr Massy’s RAF Career’s Visit

A massive thank you to Mr Massy who gave a wonderful talk to the pupils in Jaguar class today about his career in the RAF. The pupils enjoyed it thoroughly and he even organised a helicopter landing for the pupils too! They had a wonderful afternoon learning and some of the pupils no doubt would be interested in a career in the RAF after today!

Y5&6 Indoor Athletics 2024-2025 RESULTS

2024-2025 Corbet Schools Indoor Athletics Results

Congratulations to the Y5&6s, who recently were selected to represent the school in this event. After all of the results of the track and field events for both the boys and girls were totalled, Myddle CE Primary School finished in 1st place overall😁🏆🥇

Well done to all of the boys and girls for all of their individual performances!

Number day – PE

As part of ‘Number day’ today, the pupils took part in a tough but great fitness ‘accumulator’ which they thrived in, then produced their own gymnastics sequence using 90, 180, 270 and 360 degree turns. It was excellent having mixed aged groups together for a change to share abilities with each other.

Y5&6 Jaguar class – Mrs Flynn ‘careers’ talk

It was great to have Mrs Flynn visiting Y5&6 on Thursday afternoon to inform the pupils about her career in the Environment Agency. They learned about how her role helps with the flood defences and how her career path developed from primary school, through to the role that she has now. Thank you Mrs Flynn. It was wonderful that you gave up your time to do this.
