Y6 Art

As part of their Art topic of ‘Plants and Flowers’, the Y6s used the technique of wiring today to create some superb flowers to go along with their flowers using paper from last week. 🌷💐🥀🪴 Here’s our class display, demonstrating how talented some of the pupils are in their creativity.

Y6 Geography

As part of the Y6s Geography topic of ‘Rivers’, the pupils used different art resources to demonstrate ‘erosion’ and ‘deposition’ as a river meanders on it’s journey.

 

Y6 Science

Today, the children worked in groups to begin their investigation on which drinks cause teeth to decay the most.

Y4 Dodgeball

Well done to the children in Year 4 who were chosen to represent the school in a dodgeball competition at Corbet School today. The two teams showed some great teamwork and spirit, finishing in 2nd and 9th places. Thank you to Mrs Harris for helping to transport and support the team at this event. Great effort everybody!

KS2 Chess tournament

Well done to the KS2 pupils who represented the school in a chess tournament today at Prees. It was a great experience for them competing against pupils from other schools. Thank you to Mrs Emerton Maka for escorting the pupils to this event.

Y6 Science

Y6s were investigating the question , ‘How does the length of a wire affect the brightness of a bulb?’ in their Electricity topic this afternoon in Science.

Y6 Dodgeball

Two squads of Y6s were chosen to represent the school in a dodgeball competition at Corbet School yesterday morning. Thank you to Mrs Hulme and Mrs Emerton Maka for supporting and attending with the teams. Here are some photographs of the event.

Children in Need 2025

The pupils and staff all did their bit for Children In Need yesterday, including a cha cha cha dance….

KS2 Boys football

Well done to the 8 boys (Oliver, Oliver, William, Owen, Idris, Charlie, Seb and Elvin) who were selected to represent the school in the Boys U11s Utilita Kids EFL Cup this afternoon. It was a great experience for them to play on Shrewsbury Town’s all-weather pitches against strong opposition and they would’ve gained a lot from the experience.
