Play Script Perfection

This week in class, we looked at the importance of stage directions in a play script. The children added their own stage directions (for both how to speak and how to act) and tried them out with their partners once they had finished. All children worked hard and were really able to bring the basic play script they were given to life.

Rhino Homework

Last term we studied a Geography unit about Shrewsbury. For homework, I would like the children to produce a poster all about Shrewsbury showcasing all they learnt during the unit.

They should be able to produce information on:

  • Land use
  • Population
  • History
  • Buildings of interest
  • Famous people

The children are more than welcome to do further research if they wish.

It would be great to have this homework handed in before the end of the half term – Friday 27th May.

Many thanks

Mr Glover

Yr 6 Archery – Wednesday 16th May – Important Information

Please can the Yr6 pupils wear a long sleeved top under their PE t-shirt for the event tomorrow.

There will be arm guards given out but it just adds additional protection.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give school a ring.

Spellings to be tested on Monday 23rd May 2022

Y2: words with the spelling ‘a’, pronounced /o/, after w and qu

Y3: words with the /k/ sound spelled ‘ch’. These words have their origins in the Greek language.

Both spelling lists have been stuck to homework books and uploaded to Spelling Shed for further practise: https://www.edshed.com/en-gb/homework

As usual, our spelling test will take place on Monday.
