Menu Change – 6th April

The menu for Wednesday April 6th will be chicken instead of the advertised Turkey.

Apologises for this amendment.

Thank you

We would like to say a huge Thank You to Mr Hinton (Charlie & Ollie’s dad) who has supplied and upcycled our new “Outside library”. It looks amazing and he’s done a fantastic job!

We are hoping to get this up and running after the Easter holidays and the children will be able to borrow/swop books at their leisure. This is to promote our love of reading and allow the children to expose themselves to a range of books any time of the school day.

We will let the children know when the library is open!

Updated COVID Guidance for Parents

As of Friday 1st April 2022, the COVID-19 advice for schools has changed.

The new guidance from the DfE states that –

“Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school, college or childcare when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.

Adults with a positive COVID-19 test result should stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice will be 3 days

Therefore, we continue to please ask that you do not send your child to school if they are at all unwell. Children should be kept at home until they are well enough to cope with a full day of school.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they should stay at home for 3 full days.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office. Thank you for your continued support.

PE Kits

Can we please ask that the children arrive to school in school PE wear, black shorts, PE t shirt and their school jumper.

If you have any questions regarding this post please speak to the school office

Positive Case COVID-19 – Jaguar Class

FAO: Parents/Carers of children in Jaguar Class in school on Wednesday 23rd March and Thursday 24th March

We have been made aware that we have a positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Jaguar Class at Myddle Primary School.

We have followed the national guidance and have identified that your child has been in close contact with the affected person.  In line with the national guidance, your child does not need to self-isolate but we strongly advise that they take a rapid lateral flow device (LFD) test every day for 7 days. If any of these LFD tests are positive they should immediately self-isolate.

If your child develops any of the main COVID-19 symptoms, or any of the precautionary symptoms associated with COVID-19, they must take a PCR test and remain off school until a negative result has been received.

If you have any questions, please contact give the school office a call on 01939 290834. Thank you.
