Reminder – Swimming starts -Thursday 2nd May

Dear Parent/Carer

Just a quick reminder that the swimming sessions start tomorrow, Thursday 2nd May.

Please ensure you send your child’s swimming kit with them, school do NOT have any spare kit which they can lend. Please can we also ask that the girls don’t wear tights on this day as it is a “challenge” for them to get dressed again following their session.

SATs Week – 13th -17th May * Year 6 Pupils ONLY*

Dear Parent/Carer of Year 6 Pupils ONLY

For the SATs week we would like to invite your child to attend the 8am Sunrise Breakfast Club at no cost.

We feel it will give them time to prepare for their exam, ask any questions they may have and enable us to support them with any worries.

Please can you let Mrs Smith know on either 01939 290834 or by email to admin@myddle.shropshire.sch.uk if you would like your child to attend.

Swimming Sessions – REMINDER

Dear Parent/Carer

Polite Reminder – Please can you return your consent for the swimming sessions which commence this Thursday. Your child will NOT be able to attend these sessions unless the consent form is returned. Copies of this letter can be obtained from the school office.

Y5 Languages Taster Day

Reminder that Year 5 will be attending a Languages Taster Day at The Corbet School this Friday 15th February.  Children will need to wear full school uniform and will need to bring a packed lunch.

Please ensure that all permission slips are returned to school as soon as possible.  Thank you.

KS2 Performance Tickets

Due to staff shortages we have been unable to print tickets for the performances on Wednesday. Please be assured that we have made a record of every ticket that has been ordered and made a register of how many have been allocated to each child so you can be ticked in as you arrive.

All extra tickets requested before 2.20pm on Monday have been allocated a space, however the evening performance is now full. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday and thank you for your patience.

KS2 Performance Costumes

Please could we ask that if you have not already sent in costumes for the performance please could you do so tomorrow as we are having a dress rehearsal.

In regards to costumes, children are required to bring in ‘warm clothing’ such as coats, hats, scarves and gloves. Also, as the performance is related to wartime, if your child has any wartime style costumes, please could they bring them in.  This is not essential, so please do not buy anything especially!

Also please could we ask for the children to arrive back at school at 5.15pm on Wednesday to prepare for the evening performance. Many thanks.

Young Voices T-Shirt and Tickets Order Forms

This week, children who have signed up for Young Voices will receive a T-Shirt and Audience Tickets Order form.   Please ensure that these forms are returned to the school office by Friday 16th November.  There will be no opportunity to order tickets through school or t-shirts at all after this date.  Payment can be made online via the School Gateway. Thank you.

Years 3/4/5/6 – Young Voices 2019

Myddle CE Primary is very excited to be taking part in the Young Voices concert at Birmingham Genting Arena next January.  The children will join with other schools from all over the country for an afternoon rehearsal before performing an evening concert.

A letter has been sent home today.  As places are limited please reply by Friday 28th September if you would like your child to take part.

Corbet Transition Day tomorrow

We hope that the children are looking forward to spending the day at the Corbet, where they should arrive by 9:30

Just a reminder that if the children need a jumper tomorrow, they must wear their regular school jumper NOT the leaver’s hoodies to the Corbet please.

A reminder that there is also a meeting for parents at the Corbet at 7pm. Children are discouraged from coming to this meeting due to space in their hall. All information is in the transition letter from the Corbet if you have any other queries.
