Y6 PE – Hockey

Due to the heavy rain, the Y6s had to take their hockey lesson with Coach Neil indoors this afternoon, but that didn’t stop them from working hard on their control and speed.

Inter-school netball tournament

In the first competitive sporting event of the year, 7 children were selected to represent Myddle CE Primary School today in the inter-school netball tournament at the Corbet School, where (out of the 9 teams), they finished in joint 1st place! A great effort from all of the children, who showed that they’d taken the skills learned in their PE lessons and at lunchtimes, and applied them into match situations against other schools. Congratulations to Siena, Josh, Eloise, Charley, Imogen, Jamie and Amelia.

Y6 Jaguar class – Science ‘Light’

As part of their Science topic of ‘Light’, the Y6s have been learning more about ‘reflection’ this afternoon, including the ‘angle of incidence’ and the ‘angle of reflection’. They worked in small groups to create a periscope to demonstrate how reflection helps us to see things.
