Rhinos enjoying using the Hape Zome technique

Rhinos had a productive time using our outdoor areas to explore natural dye. We discovered work by India Flint – an artist who works with environmentally friendly and natural resources. She uses the ‘Hapa Zome’ method (meaning ‘leaf dye’ in Japanese) to print onto fabrics and paper. We used this method to explore dyes from the natural environment.
The following week, we progressed onto using colourful petals and flowers.
