Good Morning,
I really hope you had a lovely half term break and had plenty of time to relax.
I’m not sure yet how much longer we will have to continue our Home Learning, but we are hoping for an announcement from the Prime Minister later today. So we will now just have to wait and see.
This half term I will continue with the same routine of daily lessons which are a direct reflection on the learning in class each day.
Good luck today and do your best!
Activity 1:
Reading: The BFG chapter 12
Please read chapter ‘Dream Catching’ of the BFG and answer the ‘Day 3’ and ‘Day 4’ questions
BFG Text Chapters 11 – 16
Questions
Activity 2: English: BFG Writing unit from the Oak Academy
The Oak academy have designed a series of video lessons for developing narrative writing based around the BFG. We actually completed lessons 1 and 2 earlier in the term at the beginning of the lockdown. Once we are back school, I will be delivering a writing unit based on the BFG so this seems like an obvious focus to continue with between now and then.

Below are links to the white rose video for today’s learning and the corresponding activity sheets for ‘Fraction greater than 1’. This is the 4th video lesson and focusses on fractions combined with whole amounts.

This is the final session of this unit so next week’s session will be a review of all of your learning over the 6 sessions. You do this in the form a ‘Double Page Spread’. More information to follow next week.
