Flooding

In our geography work we have been busy learning all about different types of weather and the dangers that may come with them. We have spoken about heatwaves and droughts and the effects these can cause. We then learned about flooding, researching our local River Severn and discussing the effects on people and our environment that floods can have. We used a professional rain gauge to learn how scientists measure rainfall to predict flooding.

Mr

Lambs!

We’ve all had such a wonderful afternoon playing with, feeding and cuddling lambs! Anya’s daddy very kindly brought two of their lambs in to visit us and told us all about how they care for the sheep, lambs and particularly the orphaned lambs on their farm. The children were able to have a go at bottle feeding the lambs and gave them lots of cuddles. Afterwards, we spoke about the importance of handwashing after touching animals. We are so lucky to have this opportunity and it’s lovely to find out more about our local community.
