Our new “worry monster”!

We have a new addition to Tiger Class! During our PSHE lesson – with “Paws” and the Jigsaws last week – we discussed our worries and how we can manage those. The children suggested having a class “worry monster” and today they were surprised with one. We are currently involved in enthusiastic discussions about what to call him, but he is already extremely popular with all Tigers. ??

Year 3 spellings – to be tested on 5th October

Words with endings that sound like /ch/ is often spelt –’ture’ unless the root word ends in (t)ch.

Harvest blessings

We have been busy preparing for the Harvest Festival and thinking about our blessings and the things we are thankful for.

Please encourage your child to practise our song at home, as we will record it for the online festival during next week.

New Literacy unit and new Topic!

Our Literacy lesson today was fun!
“Little Red Reading Hood” was a hit!

We have also started our “Toys” topic and the children have been asked to send me a picture of their favourite toy, so we can use it in our class display. They might also ask you (parents and grandparents) what were your favourite toys when you were a child. Any picture of those are also very welcome!
