Y3&4 Dodgeball event

Well done to the Y4 children who were selected to represent the school in a dodgeball competition at the Corbet School today. They all tried hard and it was a good, enjoyable experience for them. Thank you to Mrs Emerton Maka for escorting the children to this event.

Y5&6 Ancient Greek workshop

The children in Y5&6 had an enjoyable afternoon in their ancient Greek workshop. Thank you to Ali from the Shrewsbury Museum for her time and her expertise in delivering this session. It was great to see so many of the children immersing themselves in the topic by dressing up. Well done everybody!

Friday 15th November – Children in Need 2024

Children in Need 2024 is fast approaching and Myddle School will be going “Spotty” again this year!

Your child can come to school dressed head to toe in spots or in any of the Children In Need merchandise, with all money raised on this day going to BBC Children In Need.

Please remember to wear trainers as we have PE sessions on Friday’s.

Tuesday 12th November – Odd Socks Day!

Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, 12th November is during Anti-Bullying Week at Myddle School 🙂

Come to school in odd socks, jazzy ones, plain ones BUT most importantly they must be ODD.

Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!

Y5 Kwik Cricket

Well done to the 8 pupils in Y5 who represented the school in a kwik cricket event this morning at the Corbet School. They all developed in confidence the further the event went on and were a pleasure to take. It was a great experience for them all.🏏

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2024

In school we always support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

After half term, there will be a selection of items on sale within school. Please see below a list of the items and their suggested donations –

Poppy – minimum donation of 20p

Reflective Poppy – 50p

Snap band rulers – £1.00

Wristbands – £1.00

Fluffy Bug – 50p

Pencil Sharpener – £1.00

Each day, some our year 6 pupils will visit every class with the items. If your child wishes to purchase any of the above items, they must bring the money with them to school.  Items cannot be purchased from the school office.

Please ensure that your child brings the correct money as change cannot be given.
