Half Marathon

Don’t forget to sign up and make payment on the Gateway for this event (see previous post for more details). The closing date is this Friday 14 December and we will only be purchasing tickets for those who have responded. Many thanks.

KS2 Performance Tickets

Due to staff shortages we have been unable to print tickets for the performances on Wednesday. Please be assured that we have made a record of every ticket that has been ordered and made a register of how many have been allocated to each child so you can be ticked in as you arrive.

All extra tickets requested before 2.20pm on Monday have been allocated a space, however the evening performance is now full. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday and thank you for your patience.

KS2 Performance Costumes

Please could we ask that if you have not already sent in costumes for the performance please could you do so tomorrow as we are having a dress rehearsal.

In regards to costumes, children are required to bring in ‘warm clothing’ such as coats, hats, scarves and gloves. Also, as the performance is related to wartime, if your child has any wartime style costumes, please could they bring them in.  This is not essential, so please do not buy anything especially!

Also please could we ask for the children to arrive back at school at 5.15pm on Wednesday to prepare for the evening performance. Many thanks.

Pantomime success!

We all had a fabulous time at the pantomime this week. The children were all so well behaved and a credit to the school. We were lucky enough to have two of our children chosen to go on stage at the end with Mother Goose, which was a real treat. They got to play air guitar with the cast!

Leaton Knolls Christmas Trees

Leaton Knolls Estate kindly provided the PTA with all the greenery and foliage for the Christmas Wreath making Workshop. They have now provided us with some 10% discount leaflets which can be collected from the school office if required.

Sunset Club

As you are aware we have recently trialled holding the Sunset club at the Nursery. Thank you for your feedback. We have decided to go back to the previous system of collecting children from the school office entrance as of this coming Monday 10 December.

Celebration Assembly

It is our Celebration Assembly on Friday 14 December at 9.10am in the school hall. All parents and carers are invited to join us if you are able to.

Shropshire Schools Half Marathon

All children will receive a letter concerning this event today (Thursday). If your child wishes to take part please sign up on the School Gateway by Friday 14 December. As the school is funding 50% of the cost of this event we will only be ordering tickets for those who have registered and paid by the closing date. Many thanks.

Uniform and PE Kit

Please can we ask for your cooperation in ensuring the correct uniform is worn at all times and children have our proper PE kit with them in school, which comprises of a red T-shirt, black shorts and black tracksuit bottoms for colder weather. We are very proud of our school and our well mannered children. Uniform plays a big part in giving the children a sense of belonging to our community and we expect all children to wear the uniform with pride.

Myddle Fun Run Competition

The Myddle Multi Terrain Fun Run (24 Mar 19) which is a HUGE fundraiser for the school are running a competition for the children to design the medal that is awarded to all the runners. We have printed out an application for each child to enter, which will be sent home with them in the next day or two. The closing date for entries is the 14th December, in order to have time to get the winning design on the medals. Please hand your clearly named entries into the school office by this date.
