Young Minds Hello Yellow 2025 – Thank You

Thank you so much for supporting Young Minds Hello Yellow by wearing something yellow, we have raised a whopping £245.82!  Well done everyone.

Supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

At school, we are proud to support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal once again this year.

From tomorrow, our year 6 pupils will be visiting each class daily, giving children the opportunity to make a donation in exchange for one of the items listed below.

Available items and suggested donations:

  • Poppy – 20p

  • Reflective Poppy – 50p

  • Snap Band Ruler – £1.00

  • Wristband – £1.00

Thank you for your generosity in supporting this important cause.

Nut Free School

We would like to remind parents/carers that we are a nut free school.
In the interests of protecting pupils and staff with nut allergies, we request that you do not send your children to school with any of the following:
  • Packaged nuts
  • Peanut butter or chocolate spreads containing nuts
  • Cereal, granola or chocolate bars containing nuts
  • Cake or biscuits containing nuts
  • Peanut-based sauces like satay
  • Any food made with sesame seeds (which can cause a similar allergic reaction)

The above list is not exhaustive. Please check the ingredient lists carefully.

Both children and adults with severe nut allergies can suffer from life-threatening reactions if they eat, smell, or touch any foods containing nuts. We are therefore grateful for your cooperation in helping to keep our pupils and staff safe.

Young Voices 2026 Reminder

There are still a large number of parents who have not bought their child a Young Voices t-shirt or ordered any audience tickets for Young Voices on 13th January 2026.

The deadline for parents to do this is 23rd October 2025. It is not possible to order after this date. Please see the letter that was sent home with your child with the link to order.

Y6 Science

As part of their Science topic of ‘light’, the Y6s have been investigating how the position of the sun affects the length of our shadows this afternoon.

Y6 T1 Rugby Experience Day

A selected group of children in Y6 enjoyed a T1 Rugby experience day today in Oswestry, where they learned the rules of this new format and then applied/practised them in game situations.

Secondary Application deadline – 31 October 2025

The closing date for secondary applications is 31 October 2025 which falls in the half-term holidays. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to submit an application as soon as possible but before the deadline date. This will ensure that if you encounter any problems, you can be supported/helped and to submit your application on time. There is no grace period for late applications.
