Corbet Pupils – Friday 20th December

We are really sorry but we are unable to accommodate previous pupils from Corbet into school on Friday due to activities that we will have going on in school.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause but we now have so many pupils in school already and it would be difficult to monitor for fire and insurance purposes. The staff love seeing how the older children are getting on at the Corbet, so they can come after the school day if they want to say hello any time during the year.

Thank you for your understanding.

New teacher & parents meetings

Dear Tiger parents and carers,

As I will be taking over the Tiger Class as their main teacher from the first week of January, we thought it would be a good idea to offer you the chance for us to have a short meeting, in case there’s anything you would like to discuss as soon as possible in the new term. I have had a thorough handover meeting with Mrs Wenlock this week and there will be the usual whole-school Parent Evenings in mid-February, but if there’s anything you would like to discuss with me sooner (or even just to introduce yourselves and say hello), please make an appointment at the School office as soon as possible.

Appointments will be available on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th January, between 3.10pm and 5.30pm, and can be booked from tomorrow (Thursday 19th December).

If you would like to have a short meeting, but cannot make an appointment on those dates, please leave a message with Mrs Smith, at the School office with your preferred dates and times and we will do our best to accommodate.

Looking forward to meeting you all,

Mrs Crowe

Lost Property

Dear Parents/Carers

Weather permitting all lost property will be available to view by the pupils entrance Thursday and Friday. If the weather is bad it will be in reception. Please ensure you come and sign in.

Many Thanks

Mrs Smith

Christmas Jumper Day – 18th Dec

Dear Parent/Carers

It is Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow, Wednesday 18th Dec.

Please can we ask that your child comes to school in their Christmas jumper, if they have one, and wearing the rest of their school uniform. It’s not a full non-uniform day!

Donations of a £1 are welcomed and will be donated to the charity, Save the Children.

Many Thanks

Mrs Smith

CARRIER BAGS

Can we ask that all pupils bring an empty carrier bag to school with them before the end of term. We need to empty lockers and trays of their school work/belongings and fill your houses with it!! 🙂

Clubs – 16th December – 20th December

There will only be Tennis Club on Thursday, 19th December, next week. All other clubs will not be taking place.

Sunset/Sunrise clubs will be running but sunset club will be closed on Friday, 20th December.

Apologies for any inconvenience this causes

Worship Council – letters in bags.

If your child is in year 3, 4 or 5 they will have a letter today asking if they would like to apply to be on our new school Worship Council. We have talked all about it in worship, so they should have a good idea as to whether they would like to apply.

We need about 6 children from each school to be on our new WORSHIP COUNCIL

Children must be in years 3, 4 or 5

Write a letter to Mrs Williams telling her why you would like to be on the Worship Council and what you can offer.

Deadline: Wednesday 18th December

Feedback from Goodison Park – Jaguar Trip

Dear Parent/Carers

We have received the feedback below from Goodison Park following the Jaguar Class visit. We are very proud of our pupils!!!

Good afternoon Mr Hughes
I just wanted to drop you an email to thank you and all the students for coming along to Goodison Park.
Everyone was great fun, the students where so well-behaved and well-mannered as well as engaging and enthusiastic, despite supporting all different Clubs away from Everton.
They are all a credit to your school.
We hope you all enjoyed your time at Goodison Park as much as we enjoyed having you all here.
Possibly hope we may have some more lovers for Everton too!
Enjoy the rest of your day in Liverpool.
We hope to see you all again soon.
Have a safe trip back.
Best wishes,
Elle
