Harvest blessings

We have been busy preparing for the Harvest Festival and thinking about our blessings and the things we are thankful for.

Please encourage your child to practise our song at home, as we will record it for the online festival during next week.

Homework issued on 23rd September

Homework for Tiger Class will be issued every Wednesday / Thursday and due back the following Monday.

Times tables tests and Spelling tests will take place every Monday.

Year 2

Times table sheet (10x, 5x, 2x, or 4x, depending on child’s results from previous test).

Spellings (in Spellings book) – can also be found on Tiger Class Spellings page of our School website.

New Literacy unit and new Topic!

Our Literacy lesson today was fun!
“Little Red Reading Hood” was a hit!

We have also started our “Toys” topic and the children have been asked to send me a picture of their favourite toy, so we can use it in our class display. They might also ask you (parents and grandparents) what were your favourite toys when you were a child. Any picture of those are also very welcome!

New Literacy unit!

This week, we are starting a new unit of work in our Literacy lessons, based on “Little Red Reading Hood” , by Lucy Rowland and Ben Mantle.

This is one of my favourite books and I can’t wait to see how it might inspire you too!
