Basketball
Myddle CE Primary were represented by two teams in this evening’s basketball tournament at Corbet School. Team 2 (Alfie, Harry, Oliver, Cassie and Ruby) competed well in each game of their group, making it difficult for their opponents to score . The boys especially looked very dangerous on the break and on many occasions scored some great shots. By the end of the groups stage, we had won 1 and lost 3 of our matches.
Team 1 (Reuben, Georgia, Charlie and Lily) finished runners up in their group of four teams ensuring that they reached the semi-finals, where they were unfortunate to come up against a VERY TALL Baschurch team. Despite the huge height difference, we shown great speed on the counter attack, only losing 3-1 by full time.
Well done to all of the children who took part and thank you to the parents for helping to transport the children to and from the event.
Skiing winners!
Yet again, Myddle CE children proved their quality in sport – this time in Skiing. A huge well done to Zoe Harris, Lily Thomas and Dylan Thomas who represented the school in a skiing event in Telford and finished in 1st place. A fantastic achievement!
Intra-House sports event
Prior to the Christmas break, all of the children competed in an intra-house new age kurling event. Congratulations to Wrekin house, who won the event by 1 point.

2nd – Pimhill 75 points
3rd – Haughmond 57 points
4th – Grinshill 30 points

Indoor Athletics
On a very exciting evening at the Corbet School, our Indoor Athletics squad gave it their all against 6 other local schools. All of the children took part in either/both field and track events, which all contributed to the overall score at the end of the competition. When the positions were announced, the Girls team (Lily K, Maddie, Cassie, Ruby, Chloe, Zoe, Georgia and Merci) finished in 4th place whilst the Boys team (Charlie, Rhys, Toby, Harvey, Henry, Alfie, Oliver, Harry and Reuben) finished in 2nd place, narrowly losing out by 2 points to the winners, St John The Baptist, Ruyton XI Towns. A great effort from all of our pupils, who supported their team mates really well throughout!
