Weston Park

We all had a fantastic day today at Weston Park! Due to the bad weather this morning our activities changed slightly. However, we enjoyed all the activities and had great fun. In the morning, we enjoyed dressing up in Victorian clothes and playing with Victorian toys! We then got to make our own toy to take home. In the afternoon, we went out on a nature walk through the beautiful gardens, collecting different things such as; pine cones, flowers, leaves and bark. We also played eye-spy looking for bugs and we had a go at some bark rubbing on the huge trees.

Planting Sunflower Seeds

This afternoon, we have had great fun planting sunflower seeds!

Over the next few weeks, we are going to carry out an experiment to see what our sunflower seeds need to grow. We have put some of our pots in a dark place with no water, some in the sunlight but with no water and the rest in the sunlight with water. We have made our predictions of which sunflower we think will grow the most.

Boys & Girls Football

It was a tale of two halves in the boys match as Myddle took a 3-0 first half lead with 2 goals from Rhys and an OG. Baschurch fought back in the second half bringing the score back to 4-3 but Myddle held on to grab a well-earned victory!

The girls fought out an entertaining 0-0 draw with neither team able to break through the others’ solid defence.

Well done to all the children who played!

We also got to meet Shrewsbury Town defender Omar Beckles who spoke to all the children and answered their questions.

Born in a Barn

A huge well done to all of Panda and Tiger class for performing such a fantastic Christmas play! They have all worked so hard and they were AMAZING!!
