Vacancies for New Governors

Foundation-Governor-Letter-2025-1-1 (2)

Local Authority Governor Letter 2025-2026

Parent-Governor-Nominations (7)

We currently have vacancies on our federation governing board for 3 categories of governor: parent governor, local authority governor and foundation governor.

It is very rewarding being part of the school governors and we are looking for new members with a variety skills that can help support the schools. The time commitment is approximately 6 meetings a year, plus any visits to school that you do in between to support staff and school leaders.

Attached to this post you will find the 3 letters detailing how to apply for each of these roles and a bit about the roles.

PARENT GOVERNOR: if you are interested in this role, there is an application form which needs to be brought back to school by 9am Friday 25th September. If you would like a hard copy of this form, please email the office and we will send one home with your child. It doesn’t matter which school your child attends, as the governing board supports both schools. You will be voted for based on your skill set and what you can bring to the board.

The other two roles are applied for directly via the links on the letters.

Our school’s Christian Values

Dear Parents/Carers,

At Myddle, our Christian values guide and inspire us each day. This half term, we are focusing on the value of Compassion—showing kindness and care towards others, understanding their feelings, and acting with love and empathy in all that we do.

Through our worship, lessons, and daily interactions, we will encourage children to reflect on compassion by:

– Learning from the example of Jesus and other inspiring figures who showed care and love for others.
– Celebrating acts of kindness, empathy, and support within our school community.
– Encouraging children to listen, understand, and respond to the needs and feelings of others.

We invite you to join us in exploring this value at home by discussing the importance of compassion and recognising moments when your child demonstrates it in their daily life. Please see the link below for some helpful ideas of how you can explore this value at home.

Thank you for your continued support in nurturing our school’s Christian ethos.

I’ve also adjusted the payment details on the School Gateway. Parents who have already paid will automatically receive a £3 refund.

Apologies for the oversight, and thank you to the parents who kindly brought this to my attention.

Poppy Cascade Project

This week, our children and staff had the pleasure of contributing to the Myddle Community Poppy Cascade Project.  We helped attach crochet and knitted poppies, made by volunteers within our community, which will help form a stunning display to be unveiled in November.  This was a meaningful opportunity for our pupils to reflect, connect with local history and feel proud to be part of this project.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful community for involving us in the special project – we can’t wait to see the finished cascade later this year.

End of Summer Term awards

Congratulations to all of the ‘stars’ of the Summer Term. Each child was a worthy winner – however, it’s not an easy decision for the teachers to select only 3 pupils out of the whole class for the awards. A lot of careful thought and consideration goes into the decision and so many other children would be worthy of winning each award. Keep working hard everybody – your teachers and teaching assistants are always watching.
