New one way system at school

From Monday morning (8th June), you will now be greeted by a one way system to guide you through the school grounds. By following Government guidelines, this has to be in place to ensure that social distancing can maintained.

When you arrive at school, and enter through the main playground gate, you will see white markings on the playground to follow and guide through the playground to the exit gate situated near the nursery. On your way through,  you will pass zones marked in blue on the playground for you to use to drop off and collect your children.

Please click on the link below for guidelines and photos of the markings as well as instructions for how the drop off and collections zones are to used.

Drop off and collection at Myddle

This will all seem a little different at first, but as with supermarkets etc, it won’t take long to get used to new ways of having to do things. After all, these measures are only in place to keep everyone as safe as can be.

I will be on the playground on Monday morning to greet you all and we are all looking forward to seeing those of you who are returning.

Thank you for your understanding

Mr P. Glover

Highlights From Home Y5&6 – Wednesday 3rd June 2020

WOW!

When you look at the ‘Highlights From Home’ page today, you will see some amazing pieces of English (Science) work from many of the children at home today. It was good to see some superb pie charts / bar charts from the Y6 pupils in maths using Microsoft Excel. The Y5s have been studying co-ordinates and translating shapes during the last few days and again showed very good understanding today.

Wednesday’s 3.6.20 Highlights from Home Y5&6

Thank you to the parents of the Y6 children who have completed the forms that I sent out earlier today re. transition to Corbet. If I’m still awaiting your form, please send it to my email address as soon as possible as I’d like to send them all to Mrs Millward at the Corbet School by the end of the week.
