Staff Changes in nursery and panda classes

We are sad to be losing Rebecca Rohr from Snowleopards next week, as she has a new job with the local authority which she will be moving on to. Rebecca has been a fantastic lead in the nursery and prior to that, a brilliant TA in Panda and Tiger classes. We will really miss her as part of the staff team and wish her every success with her next venture. We hope to fill this role with a permanent member of staff from January. Up until then, the position will be filled by Liz Leese. Liz and Fran have previously worked together at Baschurch delivering forest school sessions. Liz is a qualified teacher, a forest school leader and has extensive experience in nurseries. We look forward to welcoming her to Myddle.

In January, when Mrs McGrath begins her maternity leave, Claire Mayle, the current teaching assistant in Panda class, will be teaching Panda class Mondays-Wednesdays, alongside Mrs Turner who will be doing Thursdays and Fridays.  Claire is also a qualified teacher – we feel very lucky to have such high calibre staff in our Early Years here at Myddle! We have appointed Liz Leese to be Panda’s teaching assistant when Mrs Mayle starts teaching. They have also worked together before at Baschurch Pre-school, so should help everyone settle into their new roles nicely.

In summary:

Snowleopards: Monday 21st Nov – January: Liz Leese and Fran Jones (Fridays – Clare Evans and Fran Jones)

January 2023 – new permanent nursery lead and Fran Jones

Pandas:            January until end of maternity – Mrs Mayle / Mrs Turner  (Teachers) and Liz Leese  (TA)

School & PTA volunteering morning!!

We are holding a volunteering morning in school, where we can look at creating a gardening area on the field. The plan is for it to take place on Saturday, 12th November, 10am until 12pm. If we are able and have a few volunteers, we could also perhaps have a pruning session and a tidy up??

If you have any gardening equipment, trowels, small forks etc, or compost at home that you no longer need, these would be a great help to get this area up and running.

Mrs Turner will be leading this adventure so please pop and have a chat with her if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance.

Children in Need 2022 – Friday 18th November

Children in Need is approaching and the Yr.6 Fund Raising committee have been busy coming up with ideas for the day!

On the day your child can come to school dressed up in the letter of their name ie Rachel will wear Red. Alternatively they can come dressed up in spotty clothing. If you can make sure that whatever they arrive in, they are wearing their trainers for PE. Donations of £1 can be made via the just giving page below:

  www.justgiving.com/Myddle-Primary2

Our amazing Yr.6’s will be doing a guess how many sweets in the Jar, this will be 50p a go. They will also be doing a colouring competition. It will be a fun day for the children so parents/carers it now over to you to get your “dress up” thinking caps on!!
