Shropshire libraries getting children set to read with fun and games in summer challenge

Children aged from 4 to 12 across Shropshire are being encouraged to join in the fun and games of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge happening across at libraries in the county.

Young readers can join a superstar team and their marvellous mascots, and get involved in the Ready Set Read Summer Reading Challenge which is themed around the power of play, sport, games and physical activity.

The PTA has asked if school can hold a non-uniform day on Friday, 16th June, which we are happy to support them with. As it is a PE day, please make sure your child wears their trainers.

In exchange for coming in non-uniform they are asking for items such as pens, pencils, notebooks, stickers, wrapped sweets, the list goes on!!

Your beautiful children will be coming home with a blue plastic bag over the next couple of days which will have more details of what to send in from the PTA.! This collection is for Myddlefest which is taking place on Saturday, 24th June, 2pm onwards. It will be great fun event so put it in your diaries and come along.

The PTA have asked that the filled bags be returned to school by Tuesday 20th June. These can be handed to Mrs Smith or passed to the class teacher.

Dance Class Tonight (12th June)

Please accept our massive apologises but Alisha is unable to take the class tonight.

She will be looking to make this session up to the children before the end of the summer term.
