After studying different types of rock and how different rocks are formed, we have now been looking at soil. We have discussed what different types of soil are made from. This week we carried out an investigation to find out which type of soil was the most permeable. The children all made predictions and then enjoyed investigating and measuring the amount of water to travel through each type of soil in 2 minutes. We talked about the importance of a fair test and measuring accurately. Children then presented their findings in a table and a graph. The children always thoroughly enjoy a science practical!
