Slapped Cheek Syndrome

We would like to make you aware that we have had a case of suspected slapped cheek syndrome reported in school this week.

The first sign of slapped cheek syndrome is usually feeling unwell.

Symptoms may include:

  • a high temperature
  • a runny nose and sore throat
  • a headache
  • a red rash may appear on 1 or both cheeks

If you suspect that your child may have slapped cheek syndrome, please keep your child at home. After the rash appears, your child is ok to return to school.

If your child has slapped cheek syndrome, please let the school office know as soon as possible.  Thank you.
