Sex Education

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) and Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)

At our school, we use the PSHE Association to support the teaching of our PSHE and RSHE curriculum. The PSHE Association is the national subject body for PSHE education and provides high-quality, age-appropriate resources that reflect the latest research and best practice. Their programme ensures that our curriculum fully meets the statutory requirements for Relationships Education and Health Education, while also supporting children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to stay safe, healthy and prepared for life in modern Britain.

Our lessons are carefully planned to be engaging, inclusive and appropriate for the age and stage of our pupils. They cover a wide range of important topics, including friendships, families, mental wellbeing, physical health, online safety, personal safety, growing up and preparing for future life. By using the PSHE Association’s nationally recognised resources, we can be confident that pupils receive a consistent, high-quality education that aligns with Department for Education expectations and reflects current guidance.
