Parking Issues

We have had concerns raised by residents regarding parents parking outside school and in the entrance to Eagle Farm Close, opposite school.

Please can we ask that parents use either the layby outside school, the village hall carpark or the Red Lion pub car park for pick up and drop offs.

We want residents, parents and the children to remain safe and if we all work together and avoid parking anywhere other than the three places mentioned above, we will hopefully achieve this.

School staff will be monitoring this situation and asking parents to move their cars if they are causing an obstruction.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ring school on 01939 290834

BBC Tiny Happy People

You may have heard on the news this week about how the pandemic has had a negative impact on young children’s communication and vocabulary development.

BBC Tiny Happy People aims to support parents and caregivers in developing their children’s communication skills. They have put together simple activities and play ideas, as well as information about the science behind children’s early development.

Anything you can do at home to help improve your child’s communication and vocabulary has a huge impact on their future reading and writing. The activities and ideas are groups into categories from pregnancy to 5 years old.

Recycle your crisp packets here!

We are collecting empty crisp packets at school to raise money for the Shrewsbury Ark charity. When a certain weight is reached, they get sent to Walkers who then recycle them.

It would be great if you could send in your empty packets from home please.

Information:

Walkers® offers a simple and free crisp packet recycling scheme, which accepts all brands.

This is now the largest and fastest-growing scheme of its type in the UK, with more than 1,600 public drop-off locations nationwide. In fact, there is a public drop-off location within 4 miles of 80% of UK households.
