Young Voices

Reminder that it is Young Voices tomorrow, Thursday 17th January.

Children will arrive at normal school time and we will leave by coach at approximately 11.15am. We will arrive at Birmingham Genting Arena in time for lunch. Children need to take a packed lunch, a packed tea and plenty of water.

Children will need to wear a dark pair of trousers or skirt to wear with their Young Voices t-shirts which will be handed out on the day. If you have not purchased a t-shirt your child will need to wear a plain white t-shirt.

We will arrive back at school around 11.00pm from where you can collect your child. Any updates will be posted onto the school website/facebook.

Children will not need to be in school until 10.30am on Friday.

Basketball

Myddle CE Primary were represented by two teams in this evening’s basketball tournament at Corbet School. Team 2  (Alfie, Harry, Oliver, Cassie and Ruby) competed well in each game of their group, making it difficult for their opponents to score .  The boys especially looked very dangerous on the break and on many occasions scored some great shots. By the end of the groups stage, we had won 1 and lost 3 of our matches.

Team 1 (Reuben, Georgia, Charlie and Lily) finished runners up in their group of four teams ensuring that they reached the semi-finals, where they were unfortunate to come up against a VERY TALL Baschurch team. Despite the huge height difference, we shown great speed on the counter attack, only losing 3-1 by full time.

Well done to all of the children who took part and thank you to the parents for helping to transport the children to and from the event.
