Tiger class news

We held a short meeting for Tiger class parents last night to let them know that Mrs Wenlock will be sadly leaving us at Christmas. She has been headhunted by a large school in Telford and will be their full time SENDco. We are very proud of Mrs Wenlock for getting this promotion, but sad to lose her as part of our team here.  We are very fortunate that we have been able to fill this vacancy within the federation straight away and Mrs Crowe will be the Tiger teacher from January. The children know Mrs Crowe very well already and she is so excited to be their teacher.

We will shortly be advertising for a Federation SENDco and Mrs Wenlock will be ensuring that there is a handover with the teachers and new staff so that there is no loss of provision for your child. If you have any questions regarding your child’s special needs provision in the meantime, please contact Mrs Wenlock.

Anti-bullying at school

This week the children of the school participated in an interactive Anti-bullying assembly to learn how to combat and spot bullying behaviours both in and out of school.

Following this, pupils from Rhino Class took part in a workshop which included role play and practical activities. The children were awarded certificates for their efforts.

Well done everyone.

Well done to everyone for their effort this morning in not getting ready for school and coming in their pyjama’s 🙂

The duck race has taken place, watched by everyone. The winner was “Beakwell Tart” and our lucky winners were Katheryn, Harry-Jai & Charlotte D. Their prizes will be given out on Monday!

We have raised a massive £269.00 for Children in Need this year, which is amazing.

Thank you to everyone

Carol Singers – Christmas Fayre 7th December

Dear Parents/Carers

The PTA would like a group of pupils to sing some carols at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday, 7th December. They are proposing for this to take place from 1pm for 30 minutes. This event was hugely popular last year and it would be great to let community see how fantastic the children are and how much they enjoy singing!

Mrs Kessel-fell will be doing some practice in school during her visits to school on Thursdays.

If you would be available to bring your child along please can you speak to Mrs Downes, PTA Chairperson or Mrs Smith, School Office.

Anti-Bullying Week

The children took part in a fabulous Anti-Bullying assembly today, delivered by Reach-Out Arts. Year 4 then took part in workshops all afternoon to help them understand how to prevent bullying. It’s the second year that Saskia and Gemma have come into our school and they were so impressed with how much the children remembered from last year.

The message this year is ‘Change Starts With Us’ and there are lots of resources online if you would like to follow this up at home or find out more.
