Welcome Rachel Smith

We are very pleased to welcome Rachel Smith to the school as our new administrator. She has been learning the ropes this week and will be full steam ahead after Easter. Many of you know Rachel, but if you haven’t met her, feel free to pop into the office and introduce yourself. A huge thank you to Emily and Nicky from Baschurch for all their hard work managing both school offices and being so flexible and accommodating. They will still be doing half a day at Myddle each week, so you will still a little of them while Rachel is at Baschurch.

Maths Day – Dress Like A Rockstar!

On Monday 29th April (first day back after Easter Holidays) we will be having a Maths Day.  On this day children will be taking part in lots of fun maths challenges and activities.

On this day, we would also like children to come to school on this day dressed as a Rockstar, to link with Rockstar Maths! This could be something as simple as a pair of jeans and sunglasses or could be something more extravagant!  We look forward to seeing your outfits! (No charge)

Archery

Congratulations to the Myddle archers who this evening performed in the competition at the Corbet School. 12 schools took part and the standard was very high. The Myddle ‘2’ team (Lily K, Lily T, Lucy, Bethany, Bethany and Alfie R) performed very well on the target board in particular) to finish in 5th place overall, whilst the Myddle ‘1’ team (Harry, Alfie S, Cass, Jacob, Reuben and Harvey) were outstanding at the distance event but also achieved some excellent scores on the target board also, which meant that they finished in 1st position overall and qualified through to the next stage in a month’s time.

It’s good to see that the investment in archery boards at school is paying off!!
