This week we have been learning all about animal groups such as mammals, birds, amphibians, fish and reptiles and thinking about each group’s characteristics. We’ve also learned about animal diets and after an animal hunt in forest school, sorted animals into groups depending on if they are a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. We are starting to look at humans, naming different parts of the body and their function. Excitingly, we will be having a school trip linked to this during the last week of term – more info to follow very soon!
In our history last week we looked at how cars have changed since the first motorised cars. This week we’ve looked at how trains have changed over time, learning about George Stephenson and ‘the rocket’ steam train and comparing it to the modern ‘bullet’ train! 🚂 🚝🚗
