Our school’s grounds weren’t looking their best after the recent storms and all the heavy rain we have had. Thankfully, Mr Savage organised a ‘Ground Force’ day to work on all aspects of the school’s grounds from pruning shrubs to clearing drains.
We had a fantastic turn out of families, who worked so hard from10am until 2pm. We had the best of weather and the sun even made an appearance. The rain at 2pm signalled it was time to finish for the day, but thankfully all the planned jobs had been completed. What a great team effort!
We cleared all the drains, edged all the borders around the playground, pruned all the shrubs in the raised beds, cleared all the leaves (from everywhere!) and even made improvements to the nursery’s main entrance. I’m sure you’ll agree, it really is such a transformation.
A huge thank you to all the families that helped today: The Hazels, The Flyns, The Pasheys and Mr Monk. I would also like to say a very special thank you to Mr Savage, who organised and co-ordinated the day.
